First Task Professional are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to join a well-established civil engineering contractor on a project in Kilmarnock. This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer with a strong background in civils, groundworks and infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities * Setting out and surveying for various civil engineering works and doing check sheets * Ensuring works are completed accurately and in accordance with drawings and specifications. * Carrying out quality assurance checks and maintaining site records. * Liaising with Site Managers, subcontractors and the wider project team. * Assisting with technical queries and resolving engineering issues on site. * Monitoring progress and ensuring works meet required health and safety standards. Requirements * Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on civil engineering projects. * Strong setting-out experience using robotic total stations and GPS equipment. * Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications. * CSCS card. * Excellent communication and organisational skills. * Own setting-out equipment advantageous but not essential.
