Our client is seeking a Head of Delivery - National Security to lead delivery across a strategically important portfolio supporting Central Government, Law Enforcement and wider national security customers. This permanent leadership role offers the opportunity to shape delivery performance, operational excellence and future growth across a high-profile defence and security portfolio. The preferred location is Woking, with hybrid working available and Manchester also considered. Key Responsibilities: Lead the successful delivery of programmes, projects and services across the Central Government and Law Enforcement portfolio Act as the senior escalation point for delivery risks, issues and customer concerns Provide delivery assurance, portfolio reporting, management information and accurate forecasting Support Project Managers and Engineering Managers to achieve successful programme execution Drive improvements in delivery confidence, efficiency, productivity and operational performance Manage financial and commercial performance, including utilisation, profitability and margin improvement Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across Government, Law Enforcement and national security organisations Work with Account Leadership and Business Development teams to shape bids, capture activity and future growth opportunities Job Requirements: Proven experience as a Delivery Manager, Head of Delivery or senior leader within project, programme or portfolio management Strong experience delivering complex programmes within Central Government, Law Enforcement, Policing or National Security environments Experience leading large, multi-disciplinary delivery teams within matrix-managed organisations Strong knowledge of portfolio governance, risk management, delivery assurance and operational planning Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority Strong commercial awareness and experience in financial forecasting and business planning Existing SC clearance is desirable, with eligibility to obtain SC clearance and NPPV Understanding of Government procurement, technology, engineering, cyber, communications, defence or national security programmes Working Environment: Hybrid working with Woking as the preferred office location Manchester-based applicants will also be considered Travel to customer and business sites as required Opportunity to work with senior stakeholders across critical Government and Law Enforcement services Significant autonomy to shape the delivery function and influence portfolio growth Benefits: Permanent senior leadership opportunity within the defence and security sector Direct influence over the future direction of a growing national security portfolio Exposure to strategically important Government and Law Enforcement programmes Supportive environment focused on professional growth, delivery excellence and continuous improvement Opportunity to contribute to mission-critical services supporting national security If you are an experienced Delivery Manager or senior delivery leader with a background in Central Government, Law Enforcement or National Security, apply now to take on this influential Head of Delivery opportunity
