The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Business Unit Manager and forming part of the local leadership team, the Financial Controller will provide financial leadership across the UK & Ireland operation.

This is a highly visible role that combines strong financial control with commercial business partnering. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, supporting strategic decision-making, driving operational improvements, and leading the finance team to deliver best-in-class financial support to the business.

Working closely with operations, sales, supply chain and senior leadership, you will play a key role in helping the business achieve its growth ambitions across the region. Based at the company's Glenrothes headquarters, the role offers a flexible hybrid working model whilst maintaining close collaboration with the UK & Ireland leadership team and wider operations function.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all financial reporting activities, ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end reporting.
• Manage forecasting, budgeting and long-range planning processes.
• Maintain a strong financial control environment across the business.
• Lead internal and external audit processes and ensure compliance with statutory and corporate requirements.
• Partner closely with operational leaders to provide financial insight and support decision-making.
• Analyse business performance, profitability and operational efficiency, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Support inventory management, capital expenditure planning and working capital initiatives.
• Drive cost saving and margin enhancement projects across the business.
• Provide leadership, coaching and support to the finance team.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes, systems and reporting.
• Act as a trusted adviser to the Business Unit Leadership Team.

About You

We're keen to speak with qualified finance professionals who can demonstrate:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (or international equivalent).
• Previous experience within a Financial Controller, Senior Finance Manager or similar leadership role.
• Strong technical accounting, reporting and financial control expertise.
• Experience managing budgeting, forecasting and planning processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
• The ability to translate complex financial information into meaningful commercial insights.
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
• Strong Excel and ERP systems experience.
• Experience supporting operational, manufacturing, engineering or supply chain environments would be advantageous.
