Design Manager – New Build residential – Southampton, Hampshire This leading Tier 1 contractor has an immediate requirement for a Design Manager to join the company to work on live project in Hampshire on a contract basis for a minimum of a 6 month period. The project is a large new build residential development which will have a mix of houses and flats and will run for 3yrs over various phases of building. Key Responsibilities as Design Manager; Manage and coordinate all aspects of design across pre-construction and construction stages. Lead design workshops and progress meetings with clients, consultants, and internal teams. Review and manage design information for buildability, compliance, and value. Drive collaboration between design and delivery teams to ensure seamless project execution. Support bid and tender submissions with design-related input and value engineering solutions. Monitor design programmes, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery of information. Ensure all design works comply with statutory regulations, project requirements, and company standards. As a Design Manager, you will have worked on major residential projects for recognised Tier 1 contractors or developers. You will have been a Design Manager for a minimum of 5yrs at recognised companies.
