Purchasing Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced and commercially aware purchasing professional to join our client's dynamic team. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee purchase orders across the business, ensuring the procurement of products at competitive prices while maintaining continuity of supply.
• Support both direct and indirect procurement activities, including supplier performance management across delivery, quality, and relationship management.
• Take ownership of a broad supplier and product portfolio, including raw materials, chemicals, packaging, and manufacturing components.
• Assist in developing and improving purchasing processes and systems, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and supporting ISO 13485 compliance.
• Help reduce workload pressures within the existing team and build resilience across the purchasing function.
• Maintain product and vendor records within Microsoft Dynamics and collaborate with production, sales, and service teams to support stock control and customer delivery priorities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in a purchasing role, ideally within manufacturing, chemicals, packaging, engineering, or a similarly complex supply chain environment.
• Strong systems aptitude with experience in SAP/MRP and competency in Microsoft Dynamics and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a small team and operate strategically whilst remaining hands-on when required.
• Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to prioritise workload effectively and manage multiple competing demands.
