Temporary Ongoing Opportunity with Potential to Become Permanent

Location: Hounslow
Hybrid Working: 1 Day Working From Home Available After Successful Completion of 3 Months
Reporting To: Business Manager

This is a varied position where you will play a key role in managing communications, stakeholder engagement, digital content, social media activity, community initiatives, and reputation management. Working closely with internal departments, local stakeholders, community groups, and external partners, you will help deliver engaging communications and positive customer experiences while supporting wider business objectives.

This role would suit an experienced communications or marketing professional who enjoys a hands-on role with a mix of content creation, social media management, public relations, stakeholder engagement, and community outreach.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, community groups, local representatives, and external partners.
• Ensure a timely and professional approach to correspondence and stakeholder enquiries.
• Draft and deliver communication plans for projects, campaigns, and business initiatives.
• Support reputation management activities by ensuring consistent and engaging messaging across all channels.
• Respond to escalated customer and stakeholder enquiries, ensuring issues are directed to the appropriate teams and resolved efficiently.
• Identify opportunities to improve engagement and strengthen relationships with local communities.
• Assist with media enquiries and support positive relationships with local, regional, and national media contacts.
• Draft press releases, articles, stakeholder updates, and internal communications.
• Escalate potential reputational or crisis communication issues where appropriate.

Skills & Experience Required

• Minimum 3 year's experience within a Marketing, Communications, PR, Social Media, or Engagement role.
• Strong copy-writing skills with the ability to create engaging content for a variety of audiences.
• Experience managing social media channels and digital campaigns.
• Experience creating and editing photographic and video content.

Desirable

• Relevant qualification in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related discipline.
• Experience using WordPress or other content management systems.
• Previous experience working within infrastructure, construction, public sector, engineering, or community-focused environments.
• Experience working with media contacts or PR agencies.
• Experience writing award submissions and managing promotional campaigns.
• Ideally you will be immediatley available and able to committ to a temp - perm role.
