This could be the sales role for you.

We’re working with a growing European manufacturer of innovative water-conditioning products—and they’re looking for someone to build their presence across a well-established territory.

The products help prevent limescale without chemicals or salt, protecting pipework and appliances while improving efficiency and reducing maintenance costs.

But this isn’t a role where you’ll spend every day behind a laptop firing out emails.

You’ll be out in the market, visiting plumbing and builders’ merchants, supporting installers and bringing the products to life through demonstrations, training sessions and regular breakfast mornings.

What will you be doing?

• Managing and growing a territory covering NR, IP, CB, SG, EN, CO, CM, SS, IG, RM, N and E postcodes.
• Building strong relationships with plumbing and builders’ merchants.
• Hosting at least two breakfast mornings each week—meeting tradespeople, demonstrating the products and generating demand.
• Helping branch teams understand the range so they can confidently recommend it.
• Supporting installers and end users with demonstrations, training and practical advice.
• Developing existing accounts while finding new customers and opportunities.
• Making sure the products are visible, stocked and talked about at branch level.
• Becoming the trusted product expert across your region.

Who are we looking for?

You could already be an Area Sales Manager or Business Development Manager within plumbing, heating, water treatment or building products.

Alternatively, you might work within a plumbing or builders’ merchant and be ready to take your industry knowledge out on the road.

What matters most is that you:

• Understand the plumbing, heating or building-products market.
• Know how to build genuine relationships with merchants and tradespeople.
• Are confident presenting and delivering hands-on product demonstrations.
• Can identify opportunities and turn conversations into sales.
• Are organised, self-motivated and comfortable managing a large territory.
• Enjoy being visible in the market and making things happen.

There is business development involved, so you’ll need commercial drive and the confidence to open doors. However, this is very much a people-led role built around relationships, education and demonstrating a genuinely interesting product.

• £40,000–£47,000 basic salary.
