School Caretaker (Evening Shift) | Immediate Start

Location: Oxford Spires Academy, Oxford, OX4 4DU

Hours: 16:00 - 22:00, Monday to Friday

Duration: 4-5 Week Temporary Assignment

Requirement: Enhanced DBS Certificate Required

We are currently recruiting for an experienced School Caretaker to provide temporary cover at a busy secondary school in Oxford.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and proactive individual with previous experience in caretaking, facilities management, maintenance, or site support.

Key Responsibilities

• Opening, closing and securing the school premises
• Carrying out basic maintenance and minor repairs
• Setting up classrooms and facilities for school and evening activities
• Conducting routine site inspections
• Ensuring the site remains safe, clean and compliant
• Responding to maintenance issues as they arise
• Supporting health and safety procedures across the school
• Liaising with contractors, visitors and school staff as required

Requirements

• Previous experience in a caretaker, maintenance or facilities role
• Valid Enhanced DBS Certificate
• Ability to work independently and use initiative
• Reliable, professional and well-presented approach
• Available to start immediately
