Seymour John are supporting a growing business, based in Oldbury, who are looking to strengthen their finance team with the appointment of an experienced Accounts Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established organisation, taking ownership of day-to-day transactional finance processes while working closely with colleagues across the wider business. The Opportunity You will support the day-to-day running of the accounts function, with responsibilities including: * Managing key purchase ledger activities, ensuring supplier accounts are accurate and up to date * Processing customer invoices, receipts and sales ledger transactions * Assisting with account reconciliations and resolving supplier and customer queries * Supporting payment runs and maintaining accurate financial records * Producing regular reports for management and assisting with month-end processes * Providing general finance and administrative support to the wider team as required Personal Profile We are looking for candidates to have: * Previous experience in a transactional finance role, with strong exposure to both purchase ledger and sales ledger activities * Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy * Good communication skills with the confidence to liaise with colleagues and external contacts * The ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks effectively * Experience using accounting software and Microsoft Excel * A proactive approach and willingness to support the wider finance team when required TO APPLY Please contact Joe Woodall at Seymour John Ltd By responding, we will register you as a candidate with Seymour John Limited.
