HGV Class 1 Driver – Wednesbury – £17.00 Per Hour

People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Wednesbury.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering £17.00 per hour, Monday-to-Friday day shifts, ongoing work, weekly pay and genuine temporary-to-permanent opportunities within an established logistics operation.

This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Category C+E Driver, CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.

• Monday to Friday
• Day shifts
• 06:30 start time

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Completing depot-to-depot trunking routes, trailer swaps, collections and deliveries
• Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensuring all loads are secured safely and correctly
• Following traffic laws, company procedures and delivery schedules

Essential Skills

To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:

• Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence
• Minimum of six months' HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving experience
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
• Valid Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• Good spoken and written English

Desirable Experience

• Previous commercial driving experience
• Experience completing depot-to-depot trunking routes and trailer swaps

• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
