Due to internal promotion, a £200m t/o business with a large number of high-profile clients is seeking to appoint an Assistant Commercial Accountant. This role offers real diversity with a strong emphasis on analytical and ad hoc reporting - and less on the run of the mill monthly reporting cycles. It offers the opportunity to really add value to day to day business operations.

Specifics of the role will include:

• Preparation of weekly dashboards including sales analysis, performance trackers and gross profit analysis
• Attending and contributing to commercial meetings with senior stakeholders to provide reporting support and ensure efficient business operations
• Conducting performance reviews working closely with project management teams
• Assisting with month end reporting including intercompany transactions, resolving outstanding queries etc

This would suit someone who is actively studying towards CIMA/ACCA qualification who has experience in either a management accounting role or commercially focused reporting role. Strong analytical skills are essential and a strong capability of manipulating data within Excel. Experience with an ERP system (eg Oracle/SAP) and knowledge of Power BI would be a distinct advantage. Given the business facing nature of this role, a confident communication style is also important.
