Site Chemist (Environmental Services) Somerset| Starting Salary £28,000 p.a | Permanent A growing environmental services business is seeking a Site Chemist to join its operational team. This is a practical, hands-on role involving the classification, sampling and handling of hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams. The position is predominantly site-based and outdoors, offering excellent training and long-term career prospects within a specialist industry. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody looking to begin a career within the scientific and environmental sector. Whether you're a recent graduate, have scientific qualifications but haven't yet secured a role within the industry, or are looking for a new direction, full training will be provided by an experienced and supportive team. Duties include: Inspecting and classifying incoming waste streams Sampling and basic testing activities Waste segregation and storage Completion of compliance documentation Supporting waste treatment and dispatch operations Maintaining health, safety and environmental standardsRequirements: Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Biology, Biochemistry, Ecology, Applied Science or a similar scientific discipline A-Level Chemistry or Applied Science qualifications also considered Comfortable working in an outdoor industrial environment Strong attention to detail and safety awareness Full UK Driving Licence preferredWhat's on offer?
