Senior Associate - Employment (3+ PQE) | Birmingham

The Opportunity

An award-winning national law firm is looking to appoint a Senior Associate (3+ PQE) to join its growing Employment team in Birmingham.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded practice advising a diverse client base ranging from SMEs and owner-managed businesses through to large national and international organisations. The team has built a strong reputation for delivering pragmatic, commercial and solution-focused employment law advice, and continues to experience significant growth.

The Role

You will advise employers on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, including:

• Disciplinary and grievance procedures
• Unfair dismissal and discrimination claims
• TUPE transfers
• Whistleblowing matters
• Redundancy exercises and organisational restructures
• Strategic employment law advice to senior management teams and boards
• Day-to-day HR and people management issues

The team also advises senior executives and professionals on all aspects of the employment relationship, providing exposure to a varied and interesting caseload.

About You

• Qualified Solicitor with 3+ years' PQE in employment law
• Experience advising employer clients on a broad spectrum of employment matters
• Strong technical skills combined with a commercial and pragmatic approach
• An interest in business development and networking
• Ambitious and keen to play a role in the continued growth and strategic direction of the team
