Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Wireman on a 1 Month Contract based North Wales. Responsibilities * Installing, glanding and terminating multicore control cables in panels, marshalling kiosks and relay rooms * Wiring control and protection panels to the approved schematics and wiring diagrams * Ferruling, labelling and dressing cables neatly to the project standard * Carrying out continuity and insulation checks on your own work * Marking up drawings with any as-built changes and reporting clashes or errors * Supporting commissioning engineers during testing and punch-list close-out * Working safely in a live or part-live substation environment under permit and in line with site rules Requirements * Proven experience as a wireman or panel wirer on HV substation or similar power infrastructure projects * Ability to read and work from electrical schematics and wiring diagrams * Strong hands-on skills in cable termination, including crimping, glanding and ferruling * A recognised electrical qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds, or equivalent) * Valid site safety credentials, such as ECS card, CSCS card and Safety Passport * Comfortable working to National Grid and client site safety standards * Previous experience on National Grid or transmission-level sites * Experience on outdoor switchyard and GIS building installations Our Company Rubicon Consulting is a Talent management consultancy which helps you to optimise business performance and competitive advantage by choosing the right people first time
