Income Assistant

Holborn | Hybrid Working | Permanent
£27,500 per annum | 37.5 hours per week

We are seeking an Income Assistant to join a busy Homes Division, supporting residents to sustain their tenancies through effective income management, early intervention and excellent customer service.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with housing, customer service or income administration experience who enjoys helping people and making a positive impact within local communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a first point of contact for rent and service charge enquiries.
• Support residents to prevent arrears through early intervention and payment arrangements.
• Process rent payments, direct debits and refunds accurately.
• Manage resident enquiries via phone, email and housing management systems.
• Maintain accurate tenant records and case notes.
• Support Income Officers with low-level arrears cases and resident engagement.
• Signpost residents to welfare, benefits and financial support services where appropriate.

About You

• Experience in a customer-facing, housing, income or administrative role.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Empathetic and professional approach when dealing with vulnerable residents.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Confident using Microsoft Office and database systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
