We are currently recruiting for Investigative Consultants to work remotely.

Pay rate: £24 - per hour – outside IR35

Location: Remote working

Hours: Full time, part time and compressed hours available

Pay methods: Sole Trader, Limited company or via Umbrella PAYE

Purpose: We are seeking Investigative Consultants to assist a Police Force with their investigations on the Rape and Serious Sexual Offences team or the Paedophile Online Investigation team.

Duties:

• Bail Management: Coordinate bail arrangements, process extension applications through Magistrates and Superintendents, and liaise with solicitors as required.
• Case File Building: Prepare and progress case files on Niche for CPS charging advice, supporting the reduction of casework backlogs.
• Complex Crime Investigations (COM): Undertake investigative enquiries, including victim and suspect identification, material reviews, digital device submissions and liaison with ROCU, NCA and international partners.
• Investigation Management: Maintain and progress complex and transnational investigations on APMIS and DAMES, including regular MoRILE risk assessments.
• Safeguarding: Support safeguarding enquiries and attend visits where required.
• Sensitive Material: Review potentially distressing investigative material, including written descriptions of child abuse imagery and occasional exposure to harmful online content.

Essential Experience:

• Knowledge of Op Soteria.
• PIP2 or detective or equivalent experience.
• Experience of using the system NICHE.
• RASSO or POLIT or PPU experience.
