We are hiring for an experienced CNC Machinist (Setter, Operator, Programmer) who enjoys working with different types of woodworking machinery and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality components.
* Location: Clevedon (BS21) - easily accessible from M5 junction 20, ample free parking on site
* Competitive hourly pay: £14.00–£17.00, depending on your skills and experience.
* Consistent weekday working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30 (40 hours)
* A varied role: Work across a range of machinery and manufacturing processes.

Working as part of a manufacturing team, you will be responsible for preparing, programming and operating a variety of woodworking machinery to produce bespoke joinery, reception counters and specialist furniture.
This is a varied, practical role that extends across the machine shop rather than focusing on one piece of equipment. You will need to be confident working from technical drawings, managing your workload and ensuring components are manufactured accurately and efficiently.
About the role
* Prepare, set up and operate various woodworking machines, including beam saws, edge banders and CNC routers.
* Operate Biesse equipment, including vertical CNC and pod-and-rail machines.
* Inspect machined parts throughout production to ensure dimensions, finishes and quality standards are met.
* Plan and prioritise machining tasks to support production schedules and delivery deadlines.
* Perform routine machine checks, change tooling and carry out basic troubleshooting when required.
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience operating woodworking machinery within a manufacturing or production environment.
* Practical experience setting up and programming CNC machines, routers, beam saws and edge banders.
* The ability to interpret technical drawings and manufacturing specifications accurately.
* A good understanding of machine tooling, routine maintenance and basic fault diagnosis.
Who Would Suit This Role?
We are keen to hear from experienced CNC machinists and woodworking machine operators who enjoy hands-on manufacturing and understand the importance of accuracy, efficiency and quality.
