I’m recruiting for a hands-on quality role with an established manufacturing company in Buckinghamshire.
The role covers the inspection and release of prototype and low-volume components manufactured using a range of technologies, including metal and polymer additive manufacturing, CNC machining, vacuum casting, injection moulding, sheet metal and die casting.
Responsibilities:
* Dimensional and visual inspection of components against engineering drawings and specifications
* First-off, in-process and final inspection
* Using manual measuring equipment and advanced metrology tools
* Managing non-conformances, root cause analysis and corrective actions
* Supporting supplier quality, customer quality and QMS activities
* Maintaining calibration records and driving quality improvements
Experience Required:
* Quality inspection experience within manufacturing or precision engineering
* Confident using calipers, micrometers and gauges
* Able to interpret engineering drawings and tolerances
* Familiarity with ISO 9001 and quality procedures
* CMM, FAIRs, GD&T or 3D scanning experience would be beneficial
This would suit someone who enjoys being close to the parts and manufacturing process, while developing into a broader Quality Engineering role.
