The role
A leading financial services client is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable contractor to join its finance team on a temporary assignment. You'll own the day-to-day AP cycle and need to be productive from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Verify, code and process supplier invoices accurately and on time
• Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation
• Prepare and process payment runs, including electronic transfers
• Reconcile supplier statements to AP records and resolve discrepancies
• Support month-end accruals and AP reconciliations
• Maintain AP records and support quarterly audit preparation
• Produce recurring reporting on invoice activity
• Use automation and AI-enabled tools to improve accuracy and flag exceptions

Essential requirements

• AP experience within financial services
• Available to start immediately
• 2+ years' AP experience
• Degree in accounting, finance or a related field
• Strong Excel skills
• Exposure to AI, automation or data analytics tools
