Senior Analyst - Investment Operations - 6 month fixed term contract.

We are working with a leading insurance business to recruit a Senior Analyst - Investment Operations to join its finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced investment operations professional with a background in insurance or financial services to take ownership of investment operations, reporting, reconciliations and regulatory reporting across multiple entities.

The Role

Working closely with Finance, Treasury and Investment teams, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely accounting, monitoring and reporting of investment activities.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Overseeing investment operations, accounting entries, reconciliations and reporting.
* Preparing and analysing monthly and quarterly investment schedules, management reports and committee packs.
* Monitoring cash and investment movements and contributing to Board reporting.
* Managing investment-related regulatory reporting across relevant jurisdictions, including Lloyd's and Solvency II requirements.
* Reviewing compliance reports, identifying potential breaches and escalating issues where appropriate.
* Liaising with internal and external investment managers, custodians and other key stakeholders.
* Supporting investment audits, banking administration and the maintenance of investment records.
* Ensuring reporting deadlines and regulatory requirements are consistently met.

About You

We are keen to speak with candidates who have:

* At least five years' experience within insurance or financial services, ideally with a focus on investment operations or investment accounting.
* Experience working with fixed income and other asset classes.
* A degree or postgraduate qualification in Finance or Accounting, with progress towards a relevant professional qualification such as the CFA or ACCA.
* Strong analytical skills and experience preparing management reports and explaining investment movements.
* An understanding of financial markets and regulatory reporting requirements.
* Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders and external investment managers.
* A proactive, organised approach and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
