Health & Safety Advisor – A9 Project Job Title: Health & Safety Advisor Location: A9, Scotland Job Type: Full-time, Permanent / Project-based The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join a major infrastructure project along the A9 corridor in Scotland. Working as part of the project delivery team, you will provide hands-on health and safety support, ensuring site activities are carried out safely and in accordance with relevant legislation, company procedures and project requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive H&S professional with experience in civil engineering or infrastructure who enjoys working within a busy construction environment. Key Responsibilities Carry out regular site inspections and health and safety audits. Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation. Provide practical H&S advice and guidance to site management and operational teams. Assist with the preparation and review of risk assessments and method statements. Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying appropriate corrective actions. Monitor compliance with environmental and safety procedures. Deliver toolbox talks, briefings and site inductions. Promote a positive health and safety culture across the project. Maintain accurate H&S records and reporting documentation. Requirements Previous experience in a Health & Safety Advisor role within construction or civil engineering. NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent. Knowledge of current UK health and safety legislation. Experience carrying out site inspections, audits and investigations. Strong communication and organisational skills. Ability to engage effectively with site teams and subcontractors. A proactive approach to improving health and safety standards
