Worcester | Independent & Growing Law Firm

Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 DOE Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm

Are you an organised and proactive Legal Secretary or Personal Assistant looking to join a friendly, supportive, and growing law firm?

My client is a well-established independent firm based in Worcester, offering a fantastic opportunity to become an integral part of a close-knit team. Working closely with a highly experienced Senior Associate, you will provide essential support across a varied caseload of both private and public family law matters, with occasional involvement in criminal law cases.

This is a varied role that would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership, building strong client relationships, and being involved in the day-to-day running of a busy legal office.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing new client matters, including conflict checks and case file opening.
  • Maintaining and updating the firm's Case Management System.
  • Ensuring files remain compliant with Lexcel and Legal Aid requirements.
  • Coordinating and managing busy diaries and appointments.
  • Accessing and processing documents via Court and Legal Aid portals (full training provided).
  • Managing dictated correspondence and ensuring accurate filing and document management.
  • Monitoring Legal Aid Agency communications and liaising with fee earners regarding responses.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients and external professionals, both over the phone and in person.
  • Supporting reception duties during holiday and lunchtime cover.
  • Welcoming visitors and clients, arranging meeting rooms, and ensuring a professional client experience.
  • Providing occasional cover for the Department Head's PA, gaining exposure to the wider operational side of the business.
  • Attending court alongside fee earners on occasion, offering valuable insight into legal proceedings.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience within a Legal Secretary, Legal PA, or Administrative role.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills with a professional and personable approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A team player who is happy to support colleagues when required.

If you're looking for a role where you can make a real difference, develop your legal support career, and work within a welcoming and professional environment, we'd love to hear from you.
