HR Manager (12-Month FTC) - Herefordshire Manufacturing

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join a well-established manufacturing business on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

Working closely with managers across the site, you will provide both strategic and operational HR support, with a particular focus on employee relations, employment law, and driving business performance through effective people management.

Duties will include:

• Serving as the primary point of contact for comprehensive HR advice and support across all management levels
• Ensuring the consistent application of HR processes across the site and compliance with Human Rights and Ethics policies
• Partnering with the Site Operational Team on headcount, retention, recruitment planning and onboarding
• Overseeing learning and development activity, succession planning, regulatory requirements and skills development
• Leading employee engagement activity, including forums, union meetings and listening groups
• Providing and monitoring current compliance KPIs and leading people change projects as required
• Managing relationships with external partners, including Occupational Health and contractors
• Leading and developing the onsite HR team and working with wider HR teams to deliver comprehensive support

Experience required:

• Experience working as an HR Manager
• Experience advising on complex employee relations matters and applying employment law and regulations
• Experience managing large change projects, including restructures and changes to terms and conditions
• Experience working with Trade Unions
• CIPD Level 5 qualified or above
• Strong employment law and regulatory knowledge
