IT Infrastructure / Network Project Engineer
£35,000 - £45,000 + Excellent Training & Progression
Location: Office-based with UK-wide travel
Full-Time | Permanent | Company Vehicle for Site Visits
Are you an IT Support Engineer or Infrastructure Engineer with a good understanding of networking, looking for an opportunity to take the next step in your career?
Perhaps you've gained experience supporting switches, wireless networks and IT infrastructure but haven't yet had the opportunity to get involved in larger technical projects?
This could be exactly the opportunity you're looking for.
We're working with an established IT solutions provider that's continuing to grow its project delivery team due to an increasing pipeline of work across the UK.
You don't need to be an experienced Project Engineer to be considered. Our client is more interested in finding someone with solid networking fundamentals, a positive attitude and a genuine desire to develop their technical skills.
You'll be joining an experienced, supportive team that actively encourages knowledge sharing and provides the opportunity to learn new technologies through hands-on project work.
What You'll Be Doing
What We're Looking For
We're open to candidates from a range of technical backgrounds, including IT Support, 2nd/3rd Line Support, Infrastructure Support and Network Engineering.
Ideally, you'll have:
You don't need to have worked for an MSP, delivered projects previously or be an expert in Aruba or Cisco. If you have the networking foundations and the right attitude, the business can help you develop the rest.
Travel & Working Arrangements
This is an important part of the opportunity, so we want to be upfront about what to expect.
The role involves regular travel to customer sites throughout the UK, with overnight stays required.
As much of the work involves schools, travel is particularly busy during school holidays, when the majority of installations take place.
Outside of these periods, you'll spend more time working from the office, preparing for projects and completing technical documentation.
Across the year, the average is approximately three days on site and two days office-based per week, although this varies depending on project requirements.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
If you're currently working in IT Support or Infrastructure and feel ready to move into a more hands-on, project-focused networking role, we'd love to hear from you.
