Programme Manager - Business Support

Location: Leeds, LS2
Hybrid, 2 days on-site per week
Contract: 2-3 month temporary assignment
Pay: £21.00-£25.70 per hour DOE
Start: ASAP

We are looking for an experienced Business Support Project Manager to join a large organisation in Leeds on a short-term temporary assignment.

You will take responsibility for coordinating and managing four existing, well-established projects, ensuring activity remains on track and key stakeholders are kept informed.

The projects are already embedded, so the focus will be on project coordination and delivery rather than designing or implementing new solutions.

What you'll be doing

• Overseeing and coordinating four established projects
• Tracking actions, deadlines, milestones and deliverables
• Monitoring progress and making sure agreed actions remain on track
• Managing and updating project risks, issues and dependencies
• Building relationships and maintaining regular communication with stakeholders
• Organising project meetings and following up on actions
• Preparing progress updates, reports and project documentation
• Supporting good governance and ensuring records remain accurate and up to date
• Identifying potential delays or issues and escalating these appropriately

What we're looking for

You'll be an organised and confident project professional who is comfortable stepping into existing projects and quickly getting up to speed.

Ideally, you'll have:

• Experience within business, operational or corporate project environments
• Strong project coordination or project management experience
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience tracking milestones, actions and deadlines
• Good knowledge of risk and issue management
• Strong organisation, communication and reporting skills
• Confidence managing several work streams at the same time
• Experience within the public sector, education or NHS would be advantageous

This role could suit someone currently working as a Project Manager, Project Officer, Senior Project Coordinator, Programme Support Officer who has experience managing established business-focused projects.
