Manufacturing Supervisor Location: Redditch Company: Workforce Salary: £33,000 plus up to £5,000 per annum performance-related bonus Job Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role Workforce is recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing business in Redditch for an experienced and motivated Manufacturing Supervisor to join their production team. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will lead a team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring production targets, quality standards and health & safety requirements are consistently met. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys developing teams, driving productivity and maintaining high operational standards. There is also the potential to earn a performance-related bonus of up to £5,000 per annum, based on machine performance and production targets. Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations and company policies. Supervise, motivate and organise team members to maximise productivity and performance. Monitor production processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Diagnose equipment faults and coordinate repairs. Carry out basic maintenance tasks and fit replacement parts where required. Respond promptly to breakdowns, emergencies and unplanned maintenance issues. Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet required standards. Monitor stock levels of materials and equipment. Complete production and quality documentation accurately and promptly. Support the training and development of team members. Ensure production targets and operational KPIs are consistently achieved. Monitor machine performance and collaborate with the team to meet production goals. Maintain a safe, organised and efficient working environment. Skills & Experience Required The successful candidate will possess: Minimum of three years’ supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment. Proven experience managing people, including performance management and disciplinary processes. Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise workloads. Experience working to quality standards and achieving production targets. Basic mechanical or maintenance knowledge. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. A hands-on approach with the flexibility to support operational activities as required. Ability to delegate effectively and manage multiple priorities. Desirable Forklift Truck (FLT) licence or relevant experience. Experience within plastics manufacturing or a similar production environment. Familiarity with production machinery and machine output targets. Working Hours The role operates on a Monday to Friday rotating shift pattern, working alongside another Supervisor: 06:00 – 14:00 – £15.86 per hour 14:00 – 22:00 – £16.10 per hour Occasional night shift cover (22:00 – 06:00) may be required during periods of holiday absence, paid at £16.26 per hour.
