TEACHING ASSISTANT WANTED – MERSEY VIEW TRUST ‍ Location: Mersey View Trust, Liverpool Setting: Secondary Education Start Date: Immediate Role: Teaching Assistant (TA) Pay: £90 per day Sector: Education / Secondary Schools Teaching Assistant | Immediate Start | £90 Per Day | Secondary Education The Supply Register is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and supportive Teaching Assistant to work within Mersey View Trust's secondary education settings in Liverpool, with an immediate start available. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone with relevant experience who is passionate about supporting young people with their learning, development and wellbeing. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to help students engage with their learning, build confidence and reach their full potential in a positive and inclusive school environment. ‍ THE ROLE Your responsibilities will include: Supporting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities. Providing one-to-one and small-group support to students. Helping students develop their literacy, numeracy and subject knowledge. Supporting students with additional learning needs, where required. Encouraging students to remain focused, motivated and engaged in lessons. Promoting students' confidence, independence and social development. Helping to maintain a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment. Building positive and professional relationships with students. Working collaboratively with teachers and other school staff. Following school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times. ⭐ WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR We are looking for a caring, patient and committed Teaching Assistant who is enthusiastic about supporting secondary school students and making a positive difference to their education. Experience in any of the following roles would be beneficial: Teaching Assistant (TA) Learning Support Assistant (LSA) SEN Teaching Assistant Classroom Support Assistant Education Support Worker Secondary School Support Worker ✅ REQUIREMENTS Previous experience working in a school or educational setting is desirable. Experience supporting children or young people. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A patient, caring and proactive approach. The ability to build positive relationships with students. Confidence supporting students in a secondary school environment. The ability to work effectively as part of a team. A good understanding of safeguarding and school procedures. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, in line with the role's requirements. DBS REQUIREMENT Candidates must meet the relevant safeguarding and DBS requirements before commencing work. DBS certificates and Update Service status will be subject to verification.
