We are seeking a hands-on Product Owner to join a leading international banking group in Dublin. The role combines ownership of core banking and deposits platforms with technical configuration, product delivery and team leadership.

Strong corporate banking experience is essential, with hands-on Profile configuration and Temenos experience highly valued. Cash management, cash pooling and core banking migration experience are also desirable.

The opportunity:

We are working with a leading international banking group seeking an experienced Product Owner to take ownership of its Deposits product suite and Core Banking platform.

This is a highly technical, hands-on position combining core banking system expertise, technical product ownership and team leadership. You will act as the key link between business stakeholders and technology delivery, ensuring that critical banking systems remain robust, compliant and aligned with the organisation's strategic objectives.

The role offers the opportunity to influence the development and optimisation of core banking capabilities while managing a specialist team and working with stakeholders across technology, operations, risk and the wider business.

Key responsibilities:

• Take end-to-end technical ownership of the Deposits product suite and Core Banking platform.

• Maintain and prioritise product and technical backlogs, translating business requirements into clear roadmaps, epics, user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Provide hands-on technical oversight of the Profile core banking platform, including configuration, product functionality and system enhancements.

• Oversee core banking system changes, upgrades, patches and defect resolution, ensuring effective delivery and minimal disruption to business operations.

• Work closely with business product managers, technology teams and operational stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions.

• Assess the impact of system changes across connected platforms, business lines and downstream processes.

• Support the delivery and optimisation of deposits, cash management and cash pooling capabilities.

• Manage relationships with core banking technology vendors, including discussions around platform development, upgrades and technical issues.

• Ensure changes meet relevant banking regulatory, risk, compliance, audit and change management requirements.

• Monitor delivery progress, resolve technical impediments and drive continuous improvement across the platform and team.

• Lead and develop a Dublin-based team, providing clear direction, setting priorities and promoting a culture of accountability and collaboration.

Key requirements:

• Significant experience working within banking, financial services technology or a core banking environment.

• Strong experience with core banking platforms, with hands-on technical configuration experience of Profile being particularly important.

• Experience with Temenos core banking technology.

• A strong understanding of deposit products and the systems supporting banking operations.

• Experience in technical product ownership, platform management or a similar senior technical delivery role.

• Understanding of transaction processing, interest calculations, account structures, product configuration, fees and charges.

• Experience managing technical requirements, backlogs, system enhancements and platform changes.

• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across business and technology functions.

• Experience managing or leading technical teams.

• A good understanding of banking risk, regulatory compliance, governance and controlled technology change.

Desirable experience:

• Cash pooling and cash management systems.

• Major core banking migrations or transformation programmes.

• Core banking vendor management, platform upgrades and system modernisation.

• Experience working across complex, integrated banking technology environments.

Location and travel:

The role is based in Dublin, Ireland. Some domestic and international travel will be required.
