Benefits and Package for a Claims Handler: Salary: Competitive, depending on experience Location: Bristol, with occasional travel to London Supportive, inclusive and collaborative working environment Working for a large and highly respected firm Workplace pension Generous annual leave allowance Key Responsibilities of a Claims Handler: Manage a caseload of professional indemnity claims from initial notification through to resolution Review policy coverage, investigate claims and assess their merits and potential value Support insured professionals in responding appropriately to complaints and claims Negotiate settlements within delegated authority limits, ensuring fair and commercially sound outcomes Proactively manage claims to avoid unnecessary litigation and control costs Maintain accurate and complete records on the electronic case management system Prepare reports for insurers and support monthly and ad hoc reporting requirements Meet internal and insurer service standards, KPIs and quality assurance requirements Apply insurers' reserving policies and identify trends or risks requiring escalation Build effective relationships with insurers, insured professionals and external suppliers Key Skills and Experience of a Claims Handler: Previous claims handling experience with a strong grounding in technical claims knowledge Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage a caseload and meet deadlines A proactive and commercially aware approach to resolving claims Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records Ability to work collaboratively within a supportive team Commitment to professional development and keeping industry knowledge up to date If you have relevant claims handling experience and are interested in this opportunity, please apply now!
