Accountant | Recruitment Consultancy | London | Hybrid - 35-40k

A recruitment agency is looking for a capable and meticulous Accountant to join their Finance team. This is an exciting role for someone with prior experience in a recruitment business.

What you'll do:

• Posting and reconciling: sales and purchase ledgers, bank recs and control accounts
• Supporting the preparation and checking of both payroll runs
• Supporting the Finance Manager with drawdowns and reconciliation
• Supporting month-end: journals, accruals, prepayments and the management accounts

What you'll need:

• 2+ years experience in a recruitment or freelance contract business
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• A good grasp of recruitment cycle (timesheets, billing, contractor payroll, margins)
• Good working knowledge of Excel/spreadsheets and Xero
• Accurate and organised under pressure
