The Ideal Candidate

• A recognised teaching qualification in Secondary English, such as a BEd in English or a relevant degree with a PGCE and QTS.
• Strong experience teaching English at secondary level.
• Proven experience teaching First Language English.
• Experience teaching IGCSE English Language and Literature is essential, particularly at examination level.
• Confident delivering the British curriculum across KS3 and KS4.
• Strong subject knowledge in both English Language and English Literature.
• Excellent classroom management, communication and organisational skills.
• A passion for helping students develop their reading, writing, analytical and critical-thinking skills.
• Available to take up a full-time position from January 2027.
