This temporary position offers the opportunity to support local schools by maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the school premises.
Position: School Cleaner in Worksop
Contract: Temp, Flexible, Ongoing
Pay: £14.24 to £15.00 per hour (including holiday pay, paid via PAYE and dependent on experience)

The Role:
A School Cleaner in Worksop will be responsible for the cleanliness and hygiene of the school premises
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out general cleaning duties throughout the school, including classrooms, corridors, offices, communal areas, and other designated spaces.
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, and dust floors and surfaces as required.
- Dispose of waste safely and appropriately.
- Replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies when necessary.
- Follow school cleaning procedures, health and safety requirements, and COSHH guidelines.
- Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or damage to the appropriate member of staff.
- Use cleaning equipment and products safely and responsibly.
- Maintain a consistently high standard of cleanliness and hygiene across the school premises.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months cleaning experience, ideally within a school setting
- Relevant training in the use of cleaning chemicals and health and safety (COSH Training)
- Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to provide references covering the last 24 months of employment
- School Cleaner applicants should either possess or be willing to complete up-to-date safeguarding training
- All applicants will undergo vetting checks as per the Department for Education's Safer Recruitment guidelines prior to starting work.
