We are seeking an exceptional Chief Executive and Head of Paid Service to lead the Hull and East Yorkshire Combined Authority as it establishes itself as a major force within England's devolution landscape.

This is more than a Chief Executive role. It is a unique opportunity to build a new organisation, influence national policy, secure investment at scale and leave a lasting legacy across an entire region.

Working directly with the Mayor and Executive Board, you will be the Combined Authority's most senior officer and a key figure in translating regional ambition into delivery. You will build influential relationships across Government, business and industry, champion Hull and East Yorkshire on the national stage and help shape the future direction of devolution.

The Opportunity

You will:

·Lead the development of a high-performing Combined Authority from its formative stages.

·Drive economic growth, investment, regeneration and infrastructure across Hull and East Yorkshire.

·Act as the principal adviser to the Mayor and Executive Board.

·Build influential relationships across Whitehall, national agencies and key stakeholders.

·Secure investment and opportunities that accelerate growth and improve outcomes for communities.

·Position Hull and East Yorkshire as a leading voice within the national devolution agenda.

·Create an ambitious, accountable and delivery-focused organisation.

·Board or executive-level leadership experience within a complex organisation.

·A strong track record of transformation, growth and delivery.

·Exceptional commercial, financial and strategic leadership capabilities.

·Experience of influencing senior stakeholders, boards, investors or government.

·Outstanding partnership-building and negotiation skills.

·The political awareness and judgement to operate successfully in a high-profile environment.
