Corporate Tax Assistant Manager

£45,000 to £55,000 per annum (DOE) | Permanent, full time

A growing tax team in one of the South West’s fastest moving cities. A leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Exeter is looking for a CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified Corporate Tax Assistant Manager.

You’d work alongside managers and partners on a varied corporate portfolio, picking up more responsibility across compliance and advisory as you build towards manager level. What’s the day to day of the role:

• Supporting compliance and advisory delivery across a varied corporate portfolio
• Preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns and computations
• Advising on corporation tax, group structures and reorganisations with senior support
• Acting as a trusted contact for clients
• Spotting tax planning opportunities and setting out recommendations clearly
• Supervising and mentoring junior members of the corporate tax team

Required skills and qualifications:

• CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified, with corporate tax experience gained in practice
• At least four years’ experience within a UK Practice environment
• Experience delivering corporate tax compliance and advisory work across a range of clients
• Sound technical knowledge of UK corporation tax legislation and current developments
• Confident with clients, commercially minded, and keen to progress
