Student Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Student Support Assistant to join our Further Education college in North London. This role is crucial for our new construction course, as well as ongoing support in engineering and sports departments. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about helping students achieve their educational goals.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Provide support to students in construction, engineering, and sports courses.
• Assist in the preparation and delivery of materials and sessions.
• Help manage classroom order and ensure a conducive learning environment.
• Work closely with teaching staff to identify students who require additional support.
• Offer guidance and assistance to students, helping them to access resources and manage their studies effectively.
• Monitor and support student progress and attendance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Must possess an enhanced DBS check on the update service or one dated within the last 3 months.
• Experience in a support role within an educational setting is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A proactive approach and a genuine interest in student development.
