Are you passionate about supporting communities and improving outcomes for residents?

We are seeking a Community Development Officer to join a busy and supportive team on a 3-month temporary assignment. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with residents, carers, community groups, voluntary sector organisations, and partner agencies to strengthen local communities and promote independence and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with residents and community groups through outreach activities and events.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local community organisations and stakeholders.
• Support residents to access community-based services and preventative support.
• Promote independence, wellbeing, and social inclusion.
• Facilitate community engagement and co-production activities.
• Support unpaid carers through assessments, advice, and signposting.
• Maintain accurate records and case management information.
• Attend community meetings, forums, and networking events.

About You

You will have experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Community development or community engagement.
• Resident, customer, or service-user support.
• Housing, local authority, social care, health, charity, or voluntary sector environments.
• Stakeholder engagement and partnership working.
• Delivering outreach activities, workshops, or community events.

You will be an excellent communicator with strong relationship-building skills and a genuine commitment to supporting local communities.
