Electrician – Lightning Protection & Earthing Location: South London | Salary: £55,000 We are recruiting an experienced Electrician to join a well-established specialist in electrical earthing, lightning protection and surge protection systems. Working across industrial and commercial environments, you will be involved in the installation, testing and maintenance of specialist systems that protect buildings, infrastructure and equipment from lightning strikes, electrical faults and power surges. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established business, working as part of a close-knit team of five engineers. Offering a £55,000 salary, company van, fuel card and paid travel time, this role provides varied site-based work across South London, with no overnight stays required. THE ROLE * Installing, inspecting, testing and maintaining lightning protection and electrical earthing systems. * Working across a variety of industrial and commercial sites throughout South London. * Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standards. * Working as part of a team of five engineers to deliver high-quality installations and maintenance. * Liaising professionally with customers and site teams. * Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant electrical standards. THE PERSON To be considered for this position, you must have: * A valid JIB Gold Card – this must be verified before your CV can be submitted. * City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification. * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. * AM2 qualification. * Previous experience working within industrial and/or commercial environments. * A flexible approach to working hours and overtime. * A reliable, safety-conscious approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Experience in lightning protection, electrical earthing or surge protection would be advantageous. SALARY & BENEFITS * £55,000 annual salary. * Permanent, Monday to Friday position. * 45-hour working week. * Company van and fuel card, with the option for private use. * Float to cover expenses such as parking. * 22 days' annual leave plus bank holidays. * Door-to-door travel paid under the contracting arrangement. * Overtime paid at 1.5x for weekend work and work starting before 6am. * No call-out rota. * South London-based work, with no overnight stays required. * Join an established team of four other engineers.
