The Role

Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will deliver a high-quality operational HR service, partnering with managers to provide practical, commercially focused and legally compliant HR support.

This is a varied role covering the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to employee relations, engagement initiatives and people projects. The role is primarily based in Milton Keynes, with hybrid working flexibility available where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice and guidance on HR and people matters.
• Lead end-to-end recruitment campaigns and support hiring managers.
• Manage onboarding, inductions and probation processes.
• Handle employee relations cases including disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, investigations and absence management.
• Support managers with wellbeing plans, family-friendly policies and reasonable adjustments.
• Conduct exit interviews and manage offboarding processes.
• Advise on employment legislation, policies and HR best practice.
• Coach and support managers to develop high-performing teams.
• Organise employee engagement activities, recognition initiatives and staff events.
• Review and improve HR systems, processes and ways of working.
• Support organisational change and wider People & Culture initiatives.
• Help create a positive, inclusive and high-performing workplace culture.

About You

We're looking for an HR professional who combines strong technical knowledge with a practical, solutions-focused approach.

You will ideally have:

• CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience.
• Operational HR experience across the full employee lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience managing employee relations cases independently.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to build credibility and influence at all levels.
• Confidence, resilience and sound judgement.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A proactive attitude, strong work ethic and positive approach.
• Good IT skills and confidence using HR systems.
