We are seeking an HR Operation Manager to join an engineering organisation. This standalone HR role offers the opportunity to work within a medium-size business that designs and manufactures high-value component parts. The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing day-to-day HR activities and recruitment as well as been involved in commercial projects in their career,

Day-to-day of the role:

• Provide day-to-day HR support and advice to a highly skilled workforce of technical employees.
• Manage recruitment and candidate management, with a focus on workforce planning.
• Support various HR projects from start to finish, maintaining and enhancing existing HR processes and procedures.
• Assist in supporting employee career paths, learning journeys, and performance management.
• Handle absence management and advise senior leadership on HR matters.
• Support changing workforce requirements as business projects start and finish, including understanding employee movement between projects/teams and redundancy implications where required.
• Support apprenticeship and graduate/talent programmes.
• Manage business operations and drive performance.
• Oversee budgets, forecasts and commercial reporting.
• Build client relationships and identify growth opportunities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong generalist HR capability with the ability to manage day-to-day HR activities independently.
• Significant recruitment and workforce planning experience, with a proven track record in a similar role.
• Credibility and strong communication skills, able to interact effectively with all levels of the organisation.
• Comfortable in a standalone role and confident dealing directly with senior leadership.
• Solid knowledge of employment processes and procedures, commercially aware and pragmatic.
