Our client, based in the Yorkshire Area, are looking for an experienced Children's Social Worker to join their Children’s Complex Health and Disabilities Team on a permanent basis.

Position: Children's Social Worker – Children with Disabilities
Salary: £38,220 - £46,142 per annum + £3,000 retention payment
Contract Type: Permanent

Purpose:

• Supporting children and young people with complex health needs and disabilities, helping them stay safe, access the right support and reach their full potential.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of children with disabilities and complex health needs, completing assessments, care planning and regular reviews.
• Safeguard children at risk of harm, assess risk and make informed decisions in line with relevant legislation and procedures.
• Work closely with children, families, carers and partner agencies to develop appropriate support plans and improve outcomes.
• Maintain accurate case records, prepare reports and attend meetings and court proceedings when required.

Job Requirements:

• Recognised Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration.
• Experience working with children, young people and families within a social work setting.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, relevant legislation and statutory children's social care duties.
• Ability to manage a complex caseload, complete assessments and make sound professional decisions.
• Full driving licence and access to a car for work, unless a disability prevents this.
