Vendor Coordinator (Temporary)

Location: Bredbury
Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, starting at 8:00am - 16:30pm
Contract: Temporary Rolling Monthly Contract
Start Date: Immediate

About the Role

We are currently looking for a confident and proactive individual to join a busy subcontractor team on a temporary basis. Due to a high volume of outstanding orders through to the end of the year, this role has been created to help improve supplier communication and speed up delivery times.

You will be responsible for chasing vendors and suppliers to obtain delivery updates, monitoring outstanding orders, and ensuring equipment is delivered as quickly as possible. This is a fast-paced role requiring someone who is comfortable speaking on the phone, building relationships, and following up persistently to achieve results.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively contact suppliers and vendors via telephone and email
• Chase outstanding purchase orders and obtain accurate delivery dates
• Monitor supplier performance and follow up on delayed orders
• Update internal teams on order progress and delivery schedules
• Escalate issues where necessary to minimise delays
• Maintain accurate records of supplier communications and order updates
• Work closely with the subcontractor team to ensure orders are progressing efficiently
• Help reduce turnaround times by keeping suppliers engaged and accountable

What We're Looking For

• Confident communicator who is happy spending time on the phone
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Ability to build relationships with suppliers and vendors
• Proactive approach with excellent follow-up skills
• Good attention to detail and record-keeping ability
• Comfortable working in a busy environment and managing multiple priorities
• Previous experience in supplier coordination, purchasing, administration, customer service, logistics, or expediting would be beneficial but not essential
