This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and detail-oriented Artist with strong illustration skills to join a collaborative product design team and help develop innovative, commercially successful products.

The successful candidate will have the ability to produce accurate, to-scale illustrations from reference images, alongside a creative approach to developing original concepts. Combining traditional hand drawing with digital design skills, you will create distinctive product illustrations, surface graphics, packaging artwork and production-ready files.

The Role: Artist / Illustrator

As part of the design team, you will work on a varied portfolio of projects, taking artwork from initial concept through to final production. Key responsibilities include:

• Developing artwork from initial concept through to finished designs.

• Producing accurate, proportionate illustrations to scale using reference images.

• Using hand drawing and digital techniques to create original product illustrations.

• Developing new products from scratch and adapting existing products to create new surface graphics and product ranges.

• Creating print-ready 2D artwork, packaging graphics and production files.

• Producing 3D visuals, product mock-ups and pallet render layouts.

• Using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to develop and refine artwork.

• Working closely with project managers and product development teams throughout the design process.

• Refining designs in response to client briefs, feedback, style guides and commercial requirements.

• Sharing ideas, contributing to creative discussions and collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality results.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a creative Artist with strong technical drawing skills, an eye for detail and an understanding of how illustrations translate into finished products.

You will ideally have:

• A portfolio demonstrating accurate hand drawing, proportion, scale and the ability to work from reference images.

• Experience as an Artist, Illustrator or in a product artwork or design role.

• Good working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.

• The ability to follow style guides while also developing original concepts and creative ideas.

• Strong visual communication skills and attention to detail.

• An understanding of print-ready artwork, packaging graphics or production requirements.

• The ability to manage individual projects and work effectively as part of a team.

• A collaborative attitude, willingness to share ideas and openness to feedback.

Experience in a freelance or employed illustration role would be beneficial.

• 22 days' annual leave plus UK bank holidays, increasing to 25 days after three years and 27 days after five years.

• Private healthcare through AXA PPP, including dental, optical, mental health support and Doctor at Hand.

• Cash plan through Exeter One Fund, covering additional treatments and private healthcare excess.

• Company pension.

• Monday to Friday working hours, 9am-5pm, with a 30-minute lunch break.
