An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially focused Sales Administrator to join a growing and customer-focused business. This role would suit an individual who enjoys building relationships, identifying opportunities and proactively supporting business growth, rather than purely undertaking administrative duties.Working closely with both customers and the sales team, you will play a key role in managing customer accounts, generating opportunities and delivering an exceptional customer experience.Your new role

• Managing incoming customer enquiries via telephone and email.
• Processing quotations, sales orders and customer requests.
• Proactively contacting existing and lapsed customers to generate new business opportunities.
• Building strong relationships with customers and identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
• Following up quotations and converting enquiries into orders.
• Supporting key account management activities and customer retention.
• Liaising with internal departments including purchasing, logistics and operations.
• Maintaining accurate customer records and activity on internal systems.
• Assisting with sales campaigns and business development initiatives.
• Producing sales reports and providing administrative support to the wider commercial team.

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience within Sales Administration, Internal Sales, Account Management or Customer Service.
• Commercially minded with a proactive approach to customer engagement.
• Comfortable making outbound calls and building relationships with customers.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organisational and administrative abilities.
• Experience using CRM, ERP or order processing systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
