Are you an experienced Electrical Installation professional looking to use your industry expertise to support and inspire the next generation of electricians?

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Electrical Installation Technician to join our growing team in West London. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of outstanding practical learning experiences within our Electrical Installation department.

The Role

As an Electrical Installation Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring workshops, equipment, and learning resources are maintained to the highest standards. Working closely with lecturers and students, you will help create a safe, organised, and engaging practical learning environment.

Key responsibilities include:

Maintaining and carrying out minor repairs on Electrical Installation equipment and resources

Preparing equipment and materials for lessons and practical activities

Supporting lecturers during teaching sessions and practical demonstrations

Supervising learners within workshop environments, both with and without a lecturer present

Providing instruction and guidance to students during practical activities

Ensuring Health & Safety regulations are always adhered to

Working collaboratively with other technicians to support the smooth operation of the department

About You

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

Experience working within the Electrical Installation industry

Experience of working in a training, educational, or youth-focused environment

The ability to effectively supervise and support learners in a workshop setting

Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A willingness to train as a qualified First Aider within the College
