We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing law firm in Northampton that is looking to add an experienced Legal Assistant to its expanding Commercial Property team. The Role

As a Legal Assistant, you will provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to fee earners within the Commercial Property department. You'll be responsible for managing a range of tasks, ensuring matters progress efficiently and maintaining high levels of client service.

Key Responsibilities

• Submitting online property searches
• Preparing and submitting Land Registry applications
• Completing Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) returns
• Assisting with quality assurance and compliance processes
• Managing case files and case management systems
• Photocopying, scanning and filing documents
• Supporting fee earners with day-to-day administration
• Assisting other legal departments when required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience working as a Legal Assistant within a property-based legal environment and be confident handling a busy workload.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Previous Legal Assistant experience within Commercial Property or Property Law
• Case Management system experience
• Excellent administrative and organisational skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong time management and prioritisation abilities
• Professional and courteous telephone manner
• Ability to work effectively under strict deadlines
• Proactive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach
• Strong team-player mentality

Desirable Skills

• Audio typing experience (Diktamen or similar)
