Vocational Instructor – Motor Vehicle Studies Location: Docklands, East London Salary: £21,731–£24,195.50 per annum + £2,500 Bonus Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm About the Role New Chapter Tuition is recruiting a passionate and enthusiastic Vocational Instructor to join a specialist education provision in Docklands, supporting young people aged 11–19 who may have struggled to engage within mainstream education. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver practical, hands-on Motor Vehicle Studies alongside Functional Skills Maths and English, helping young people develop confidence, independence and essential skills for their future. Key Responsibilities * Deliver engaging Level 1 Motor Vehicle Studies sessions. * Support learners with Functional Skills Maths and English. * Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs, including SEND and SEMH. * Create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment. * Monitor learner progress, engagement and achievement. * Support young people in developing practical skills, confidence and employability. * Maintain appropriate safeguarding, health and safety standards. About You * Experience within the motor vehicle industry, vocational training or education. * Confidence supporting Maths and English at Functional Skills level. * A patient, adaptable and relationship-led approach. * Understanding of SEND, SEMH or Alternative Provision would be advantageous. * Strong communication and behaviour management skills. * A genuine passion for supporting young people who require an alternative approach to education.
