Location: Chelmsford, Essex
Salary: Up to £50,000 (DOE)

The Opportunity

A respected and growing accountancy practice in Chelmsford is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join its expanding team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious audit professional looking to join a supportive firm that offers genuine career progression, a varied client portfolio, and the opportunity to work closely with managers and partners on a range of assignments.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion
• Supervising and reviewing the work of junior team members
• Preparing audit files, reports, and supporting documentation
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Liaising directly with clients throughout the audit process
• Identifying risks and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
• Assisting with accounts preparation where required
• Supporting managers and partners with ad-hoc projects and advisory work

About You

• ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience
• Previous audit experience gained within an accountancy practice
• Strong technical knowledge of audit and financial reporting
• Experience leading audits and managing multiple assignments
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• A proactive approach and desire to progress your career
