Conveyancing Assistant - Buxton

Location: Buxton, Derbyshire
Salary: £24,000 - £27,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7 hours per day
CRA Consulting are working with a well-established law firm in Buxton who are looking to recruit a Conveyancing Assistant to join their property team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with at least 6 months' legal or conveyancing experience who is looking to develop their career within residential property and join an established, supportive team.

The Role

Working alongside the conveyancing team, you will provide day-to-day support across residential property matters and help ensure transactions progress smoothly from instruction through to completion.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting fee earners with residential conveyancing matters
• Opening and maintaining client files
• Preparing correspondence and legal documentation
• Liaising with clients, estate agents, solicitors and other third parties
• Requesting and chasing searches and documentation
• Assisting with enquiries and progressing property transactions
• Keeping clients updated throughout the conveyancing process
• Maintaining accurate case management records
• Providing general support to the wider property team

About You

The firm are looking for someone with at least 6 months' experience within a legal or conveyancing environment.
You will ideally have:

• Previous experience in a legal environment
• Some exposure to residential conveyancing
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good communication and client-handling skills
• The ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
• A genuine interest in developing your career within conveyancing
