Location: Bristol / South West Sector: Data Centres & Defence We are working with a leading construction and engineering contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Design Manager to support the delivery of major projects across the data centre and defence sectors. With a growing portfolio of complex developments across the South West, including major data centre projects and strategic defence schemes, this is an excellent opportunity to take a leading role in design strategy, technical assurance and project delivery. Key Responsibilities Lead design management across major construction projects. Develop and implement design delivery strategies. Manage design governance, technical compliance, programme and risk. Drive value engineering, design optimisation and commercial performance. Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and project teams. Lead, mentor and develop design management teams. Promote best practice, innovation and continuous improvement. About You Significant experience managing design delivery on major construction projects. Proven experience leading multidisciplinary design teams. Strong understanding of contractual, technical and statutory requirements. Experience in design governance, risk management and value engineering. Relevant degree or industry qualification (RIBA, CIOB, ICE or equivalent). Chartered status desirable, with a valid CSCS card.
