Warehouse Operative - Newbury - Immediate starts available! Location: Newbury, RG14 Pay: £12.71 per hour for the first 12 weeks, increasing to £15.01 per hour after 12 weeks ⏰ Shifts: Nights Start Date: Immediate Starts Available Interaction Recruitment is currently recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to join a large, well-established parcel distribution and logistics company based in Newbury, RG14. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy, fast-paced operation, with the potential to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period. Available Shifts Night Shifts - Full-Time Choose from the following shift patterns: Monday - Friday 00:00AM starts on Monday nights 01:00AM starts Tuesday - Friday Shifts are approximately 8.5 - 9 hours per shift. Please note: Candidates must have their own transport to travel to and from the site, particularly due to the early morning start times. The Role: As a Warehouse Operative, your duties will include: Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently Sorting parcels and goods according to delivery locations Scanning parcels using handheld scanning equipment Moving stock and parcels around the warehouse Picking and packing goods accurately Loading parcels onto conveyor belts and into vehicles Manually handling and moving parcels of various sizes and weights Carrying out heavy lifting as part of your daily duties Performing repetitive lifting, bending and reaching Standing and working on your feet for extended periods Ensuring parcels are handled carefully to prevent damage Checking labels and delivery information for accuracy Working to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working area Following all company Health & Safety procedures Reporting damaged goods, discrepancies or hazards to management Working as part of a team to achieve daily targets Supporting other areas of the warehouse when required About You We are looking for candidates who: Are physically fit and comfortable with manual work Are capable of carrying out heavy lifting throughout their shift Are happy working on their feet for long periods Can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic Are reliable, punctual and hardworking Can follow instructions and Health & Safety procedures Are comfortable carrying out repetitive tasks Can work well independently and as part of a team Have good attention to detail Have their own reliable transport to travel to and from the Newbury site Can commit to their chosen shift pattern Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided to suitable candidates.
